Grass-Fed Certification

With the increasing global demand for high-quality grass-fed products, consumers are seeking independent assurance regarding the authenticity of these products.

AsureQuality offers a range of services to support certification to the MPI managed New Zealand Grass-Fed Administrative Standards(external link) .

These include:

• Certification of milk and dairy products against the AsureQuality Grass-Fed Scheme;
• Provision of an independent conformity assessment body (CAB) endorsement of a scheme owner’s quality management system;
• Provision of audits under another MPI listed grass-fed scheme.

Certification for milk and dairy products under the AsureQuality Grass-Fed Scheme

AsureQuality operates a Grass-Fed Scheme under which we can provide certification of:

• Milk from an individual farm
• A milk pool, or part of a milk pool, supplying a milk processor
• Products made from certified milk

We endorse the use of appropriate claims, such as 'Certified Grass Fed Milk Pool’, ‘Certified Grass-Fed’ and ‘Made with Certified Grass-Fed Milk’.

We are currently seeking to list our scheme against the recently launched MPI managed New Zealand Grass-Fed Administrative Standards. We will also be seeking endorsement and accreditation for the scheme so that certification not only meets the New Zealand Standard but also offers the full benefits of an accredited certification.

We will work with you to combine grass-fed certification with other audits delivered by AsureQuality to streamline your auditing requirements.

CAB endorsement of a scheme owner’s quality management system

If you prefer to develop your own grass-fed scheme for either dairy or meat, AsureQuality can provide audits to endorse your scheme against the quality management system requirements of the New Zealand Grass-Fed Administrative Standards.

Provision of CAB audits under a grass-fed scheme
