AsureQuality was proud to host a breakfast event at our Mt Wellington office, bringing together CEOs from across New Zealand’s food industry.
Internationally renowned food safety leader Frank Yiannas, shared thought-provoking insights on the importance of food safety culture, and the critical role that organisational leaders play in establishing and reinforcing this culture.
Frank - a respected author, professor, futurist, and tireless consumer advocate - spoke about the transformative impact that leading with a strong food safety culture can have, both within organisations and across entire supply chains. As he put it, food safety is “invaluable currency in consumer trust” — something more important today than ever before.
Throughout his interactive session, Frank challenged leaders to think beyond compliance and offered practical strategies to help build environments where food safety is deeply embedded in everyday thinking, behaviour, and decision-making.
The event also provided a valuable opportunity for our customers and industry peers to connect, share ideas, and reflect on how New Zealand’s food sector can continue to lead with integrity, innovation, and trust.
Following the breakfast, Frank led a workshop sponsored by AsureQuality in partnership with the New Zealand Food Safety Science & Research Centre, exploring evidence-based ways to shift or strengthen food safety culture and influence employee behaviours.
