Serology Testing
The serology team provides New Zealand farmers with testing services for the Animal Health Assurance Programme and carries out tests to determine ‘live animal free-of-disease status’ in compliance with overseas live animal export requirements. The laboratory is accredited by IANZ for ISO 17025 Standard and registered by MAF Biosecurity New Zealand as a diagnostic laboratory for export testing. A high security PC2 testing environment is used to test blood samples.
Our nationwide network of field technicians and veterinarians, who are accredited by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry,  collect samples to be sent into our laboratories for analysis. Our scientists and laboratory technicians turn around fast and accurate results.
