QualCheck™ CropSure – Spray Safe Programme

Consumers are increasingly seeking assurance that the food they eat is safe and that any chemicals used in the production of that food have been applied in accordance with strict limits.

QualCheck™ CropSure (AsureQuality's Spray Safe Assurance Programme) is a certification system that has been developed to enable growers and marketers to assure their customers that produce is within required agrichemical residue limits and specific market requirements. The QualCheck™ CropSure system also enables growers to meet critical market access programme requirements, such as GLOBALGAP and Tesco Nature's Choice.

Spray Safe Requirements

1. Spray Diary
CropSure growers maintain a spray programme developed for the crop covered and keep detailed records of all treatments to their production. This record is submitted to AsureQuality for evaluation to ensure only approved applicators with calibrated equipment have applied chemicals at correct rates and within appropriate time periods. Only growers meeting all requirements progress past this point.

2. Random Residue Testing
CropSure growers are entered into a random residue sampling programme where produce is tested to confirm the accuracy of the information on the spray diary. As part of this sampling and testing programme each sample is analysed for over 180 pesticides through our internationally accredited Wellington Laboratory.

On-line CropSure Service

AsureQuality’s on-line CropSure system allows growers to put their spray diary entries into the database themselves. CropSure’s web facilitation means growers are able to deliver requests and receive clearance certificates on-line, reducing delays.
